In this research, the writer has verified the consistency of responses to similar items of a test on identifying the examples of a concept. A geometric and a grammatical concept were the subjects of two independent studies on students in third year high school. The individual consistency index (ICI) of Tatsuoka and Tatsuoka (1980) was used to prove the hypothesis that the errors made were constant. The results obtained confirmed the hypothesis in both cases.
