Évaluation des structures administratives expérimentales dans les écoles secondaires polyvalentes
Keywords:
administration scolaire, écoles secondaires, leadership scolaire, éducation au QuébecAbstract
Certain polyvalent schools of Quebec modified their traditional administrative systems by converting all or certain members of the group leaders to principal-associates. A research was undertaken to determine, to measure, and to evaluate the impact of modifications resulting from this change. It must be noted that increasing the number of administrative officers does not necessarily or automatically improve the organization, and the differences found between the different groups associated with the school cannot be attributed to the modifications of the system. Many other related and original facts were verified by the analysis of results. Multivariate analysis showed that if the administrative model of a school needs to be modified, the modifications should take into account the needs, details, opinions, and related roles of the parents, students, teachers, nonteaching professionals, and surroundings. Also, it is possible to establish that the success of a school depends upon the qualities of the persons involved and the dynamic characteristics of the persons in the administrative system.
